Completes Final Test. The lighthouse service reports that the new lighthouse tender Violet, built at Manitowoc and completed in August, has completed satisfactorily its official tests. After its tests the tender was sent to Milwaukee where it was outfitted for her long journey thru the Great Lakes and down the St. Lawrence river to Portsmouth, Va., where she will aid ships along that part of the coast.
