Capt. William Gnewuch of the tug Welcome, who this week returned to Milwaukee from a visit to his parents at Manistee, Michigan, reports that the steamers Illinois, Missouri and F. & P. M. No. 4 are about ready to sail, and the barges Edward Buckley, Mark E. Covell, C. Reitz, Wotan, Maggie Marshall and R. C. Wente, which wintered at Manistee, are getting ready for an early start.
