Full Text

A note received by the ADVOCATE from Capt. Charles Gnewuch, of Manistee, Mich., states among other things that three schooners and three tugs are receiving a rebuild and overhauling at that port this winter. Capt. Gnewuch's new steamer the Edward Buckley, has coined a good many ducats for her owner the past season, having been engaged in the carrying trade between Manistee and Chicago. The captain formerly owned the fine tug, C. Williams, which was a frequent visitor at this port prior to three years ago.
