Masonic Excursion

We noted last week that the Masonic brethern of this place intended giving an excursion to Penetanguishene on Monday next. We no learn that the Chicora has disappointed them and that consequently the excursion has been postponed until Thursday the 18 inst. And then by the Algoma. This boat although not as fast as the Chicora has better accommodation for excursions and is quite capable of carrying 1000 comfortably. We learn that the principal stores will be closed on that day….

We would call attention to the advertisement of weekly excursions to Collingwood on the Silver Spray . This boat since being placed on this route has given every satisfaction She has been well renovated, her speed is quite equal to the largest boats and her regularity most admirable with the obliging conduct of her officers….
