-Perilous Position of the Crew of a Schooner on Lake Erie - Heroic Conduct -Buffalo, Dec. 14 - schooner Gazelle, Capt. Bassett wrecked at Cleveland.

-Great Canadian Navigation Achievement - on Dec. 1 the steamer Princess Victoria took 14 barges to Quebec and returned to Kingston on the 19th; owned by Donald Macintosh, Forwarder.
