EXCURSION

The people of Meaford took an excursion to Collingwood, yesterday, on board the Steamer Canadian, and we understand had a very pleasant time of it.

On Monday the 5th July, Collingwood is expected to turn out en masse on an excursion to the Christian Islands, Muskoka and Penetanguishene; and as the Meaford Brass Band will be in attendance, this will be a most desirable opportunity for lovers of beauties of nature, yielding some of the most picturesque scenery on the Georgian Bay, with the very pleasant and gentlemanly Captain of the Canadian.

We hope that the Owen Sound people will ere long be favoured with a similar treat.
