p.2 letter from St. Catherines, July 7th - (part) ...A splendid steamer the Welland, has just been built to run between Toronto and St. Catherines, she will commence her trips in the course of a few days. Captain Donaldson the popular commander of the Mazeppa, formerly on the same route, will have charge of the Welland. Her machinery is all from the Novelty Iron Works here, and for neat and substantial workmanship I think cannot be surpassed...
