Sabbath School Excursion

On Wednesday, 1st inst., Captain Smith, of the steamer Canadian, with his accustomed generosity, gave a free excursion to the scholars of the Sabbath Schools of St. Vincent, to Collingwood Harbor. Arrived there the Freight Master gave the children a short ride on the Iron horse down the track; some of them looked a little frightened when the animal snorted having never heard the like; generally they seemed highly pleased with the ride. The whole number of Excursionists including children, teachers, and others amounted to about 660. The day was fine and passed off very pleasantly.

Other schools might follow suit with much gratification to the children and teachers. Captain Smith will, no doubt offer liberal inducements for thee recreation.
