Good Templars' Pic-Nic

Mr EDITOR - The Good Templars' Pic-nic came off as announced for the 1st of July. About one hundred and fifty persons, composed of Good Templars and their friends, embarked on board the Clifton about 7 o'clock, nom doubt expecting to spend the day very pleasantly. The boat left a few minutes after seven, and proceeded on her usual trip, calling at Leith, where the number was increased by about fifty members of the Lake Shore Victoria Lodge, thus forming a company of about two hundred persons, who apparently enjoyed themselves much in promenading the deck of the steamer. ...

Cape Rich , our destination was reached about nine o'clock. On disembarking , it was found that the Cape Rich Division Sons of Temperance had kindly cleared a beautiful spot in the woods but a short distance from the wharf for the reception of their friends...
