-Dreadful Accident - loss of schooner Emblem owned by Mr. Rae of Hamilton.

-Ship Building in Upper Canada - new barque belonging to Hayes Bros. passed through Welland Canal to Toronto for ocean, built at Coldwater, called the Reindeer, built under Lloyd's Supervision; the City of Toronto is almost ready to sail.

-effect of Reciprocity Treaty on fisheries of Lake Huron.
