THE ALGOMA DISABLED

Last Tuesday morning the Steamer Algoma broke the Walking beam of one of her engines at the entrance to our harbour, thus probable she will unload and come up the river for the winter, or return to Collingwood. At all events her trips up to the Sault St Marie will be discontinued for the season At this particular time it is unfortunate that the accident should have occurred for on the 15th the Clifton is to lay up and then much inconvenience will be experienced both in bringing in goods to Owen Sound and sending freight for the Northern trade.

THE CLIFTON

We are informed by Captain Smith that the Clifton will make the last boat trip for the season to Collingwood on Tuesday the 15th of November. It may be worth while for the travelling community to bear this fact in mind and be governed in their movements accordingly.
