p.2 Steamer New Era - We regret to learn that the steamer New Era, in descending the Galops rapid on Sunday, struck a rock, and sunk shortly afterwards in about ten feet of water, her main deck being clear. No damage to cargo or passengers, and it is expected she will be got off in a few days. The passengers were taken off by the steamer Montreal, Capt. Leflamme, a short tiime afterwards, and arrived in Montreal yesterday morning.

p.3 We learn from a telegraph message received here, that the schooner Mary of Kingston was lost some time ago off Vermillion, near Cleveland, on Lake Erie, and that all hands perished. The Mary was the property of Wm. Anglin, Esq. of this city, and was insured.
Steamer Ottawa For Sale or Charter - The above vessel, well known to the public as one of the Royal Mail Steamers between Montreal and Kingston, will have completed her engagement with that Line at the close of the present season of Navigation, when she will be disposable either for Sale or Charter. She has a powerful engine in excellent condition, an Upper Cabin, and good accommodation for passengers, is of light draught of water, and economical in the use of fuel.
