-Storm on the Lakes - Wreck of a Canadian Barque - Eleven Lives Lost - barque Empire on Marblehead Pt., about 4 miles north of Sandusky - a good account of rescue by life-boat. [Sandusky Register May 5th]

-Imports - 9,11,12; Exports - 11.

-Seizure of Steamer Ploughboy - by Customs of Sarnia; booze was transferred from the American schooner Fame belonging to same owners. [Sarnia Observer]
