p.2 Court of Queen's Bench - Yesterday the Court was occupied all day in the trial of Bethune vs Corbett, in the long litigated matter of the steamer City of the Bay, in which Mr. Gildersleeve is the real defendant. Messrs. Eccles & Cromley, of the Toronto Bar, were for the plaintiff, and Messrs. H. Smith, Henderson & O'Reilly for the defendant. It would be utterly useless to recapitulate the evidence, and it must suffice to say that the jury gave a verdict for the Sheriff who was indemnified.

-Produce Going Down - steamers New Era and Boston take full loads to Montreal.

-Steamers From Collingwood - Ploughboy and Rescue make first trips to Sault.

-Imports - 11,12.
