-Navigation of the St. Lawrence - mentions need for tugs; Calvin and Breck already have Hercules, William IV, and others; G.T.R. has carried freight at rates ruinous to shipping; only steamers available to carry produce from Kingston to Montreal are St. Lawrence and St. Helen and occasionally the Ottawa from Ogdensburgh.
