-On a Reef - brig Clarion on Skillagalee Reef.

-Ship-Building - 2 barques under construction at B. Jones Shipyard; one will be 2nd largest sail vessel on lakes; models of each can be seen at the shipyard. [Milwaukee Sentinel]

-On and Off Again - prop. Buffalo pulled off by tug S.C. Ives. "The tug Ives having done her work with the Buffalo, went to the Sweepstakes, mentioned in another item. [Detroit Advertiser 30th]

-On a Reef - sch. Sweepstakes on reef off Clay Banks, tug Reindeer to assist. [ibid]
