p.2 County Court & Quarter Sessions - Perrin et al vs McGreevy - plaintiffs are owners of barque Water Witch, which was loaded with a cargo of stone at Cleveland and shipped for Prescott, for the defendant McGreevy who has the contract for the erection of the Parliament Buildings; Mr. Joseph Doyle was chartering party; action for demurrage.

-Rathbun vs McGreevy - similar action to above.

-The number of lives known to be lost in the recent gale on the lakes is 75, viz. from the propeller Decotah 24; propeller Jersey City 17; propeller Cuyahoga, 1; brig F.D. Gardiner 1; schooner Marco Polo 8; schooner Wm. Gardiner 7; schooner Tornado 8; schooner Hurricane 9.

-schooner Jane Ann Marsh in storm, throws over 400 barrels of salt from deck load.
