On the afternoon of Monday last while the steamer Maid of Midland was passing this lumber yard at the steam saw mills here the sparks from her smoke stack set fire to and burned two and a quarter of a million feet of lumber loss $40, 000 fully insured in the Royal Canadian Etna Halifax and Western Company
