The people of Midland were a little surprised on Thursday afternoon last by the steamboat Georgiana appearing in our harbour completely loaded down with passengers and immediately in her wake followed two other steamboats each with a large scow in tow they being likewise filled with passengers. As near as can be estimated from 1, 000 to 1, 200 persons were on the different boats. The excursion was from Port Hope.
