-The Fort William Mail - contract was awarded to Mr. Watson of Windsor, McLeod had lowest tender but he was going to use Ploughboy, which was regarded as unfit to perform the service. [Leader]

p.3 C.&M. - Opening of Navigation - British Lion towed out by Pierrepont.

-Kingston Exports - British Lion and Waterwitch leave with ice.
