-Lake Superior Mail Company - G.T.R. steamer Michigan to carry mails between Collingwood and Fort William.
-Collision - between Alliance and Uncle Tom in Welland Canal.
-Strike - at Buffalo among grain shovellers and stevedores.
-The St. Helen - enlarged, commanded by Capt. Smith, on Trenton to Montreal route.
-Canal Tolls - same toll as before, cites case of sch. Chieftain with cargo of oil.
