-Accident - sch. Lochiel ran afoul of sch. Edith at Shoal Tower, light damage to both.

-The Western Trade - 7-8 steamers running to Chicago and Green Bay. [Sarnia Observer]

-Collisions - sch. Golden Harvest with prop. Cleveland, schooner was damaged. [Detroit Courier]

-barque Danube collided with unknown vessel near Straits of Mackinaw. [ibid]

-lake freights active at Chicago.

-brig John G. Deshler at Detroit from Superior on way to Liverpool with copper. [Detroit Free Press]

-Imports - June 1.
