p.2 The Queen's Birthday - celebration in Portsmouth - a three-masted vessel built by E. Berry was supposed to be launched but it wasn't ready.

-W.K. Muir passed with raft; this tug draws 5' water, valued at $50,000.

-Schooner Paragon Raised - towed from Saugeen to Detroit.

-Collision - C.G. Alvord of Sacketts Harbor and prop. City of Buffalo.

-Schooner Challenge Ashore - at Point Au Sable on east shore of Lake Michigan. [Chicago Journal]

-Terrible Explosion At Detroit - prop. Nile at dock, probably 44 killed.

-Police Court - man charged with assault on str. Pierrepont.
