-Lying Up - most steamers and barges are now lying up.

-Sch. Jenny Lind foundered off Gull Island, now hard on with 6 feet of water in hold.

-Launch - a new iron hull for R.M. line being built at Cantin's yard. [Montreal Gazette]

-Imports - 23,24.

-Larceny - a sailor had just received a years pay as a hand on a steamer, he paid off debts, got drunk and his money disappeared.
