The Excursion - The principal attraction of the civic holiday was the Firemen's excursion to Meaford... On leaving the train post haste was made for the City of Owen Sound one of the largest propellers afloat, large enough we would say to accommodate about 100 passengers with comfort and safety, but as an excursion boat she proved a failure, there being neither room to walk, or chairs enough to accommodate more than half the company.
