p.3 The First of the Season - small schooner Minetta arrives from Gananoque.

-Steam Navigation - prop. North left for Gananoque to wood for a trip up the lakes; tug Hercules came over from Garden Island.

-The Steamer Pierrepont - launched from Marine Railway; will relieve steamer Gazelle.

-Another Launch - a new schooner of 8000 bushel capacity was launched in Bay near Anglin's Sawmills; 90 x 23 x 8; owned by James Richardson.

-The Welland Canal - opened on 16th.
