INDIANS REPORTED TO HAVE DISCOVERED THE WRECK OF THE VESSEL WHILE FISHING

(By Telegraph to the Mail)

PARRY SOUND March 22 - A rumour is in circulation here that an Indian having cut a hole in the ice to fish in the supposed vicinity of the wreck of the steamer Waubuno distinctly saw the engines and boiler and part of the hull of the large boat. Enquires are being made to ascertain whether this report be true. Several Indians have been spoken to and they are inclined to believe the report. But intimate that a reward is expected before the boat will be shown. Thomas Long President of the Georgian Bay Transportation Company has been informed and it is expected he will take steps in the matter.
