-Disasters By the Gale on Lake Huron - sch. Adirondack damaged by storm, drifted for a week to Chantry Island; 3 barges in tow of tug Cassels drifted over from American side, the 4th is presumed to have sunk.

-The Steamers - Spartan on time; "The Kingston arrived from Montreal, at 4 a.m., twelve hours late, having damaged her rudder on her last downward trip, necessitating a delay of a day or so below to make the proper repairs."
