p.2 tomorrow is the auction of the property of the late Wm. Bowen at St. Lawrence wharf.

-City Council - Market Bylaw - 33rd clause - for collection of tolls on vessels arriving in harbor with produce at a rate of about 2 cents per ton, and on wood boats from Rideau Canal - they could not reach decision.

p.3 The Gunboats - Hercules wintered in Navy Bay, being fitted up; gunboat Rescue being returned to owners.

-The Ice fast disappearing.

-Arrived - sch. Highland Chief arrived from Frenchmen's Bay. [Leader]
