-lower lock at Kingston Mills being repaired; Lachine Canal drained for 2 weeks repairs.

-The Opening of the Welland Canal - delayed until 23d.

-Steamers To Newfoundland and Halifax - Messrs. George Merritt & Bro. to place str. Merritt on route from Montreal to St. Johns Nfld, and str. Her Majesty from Montreal to Halifax. [Quebec Chronicle]
