p .3 County Court & Quarter Sessions - Fallon vs Myles & Co. - This was an action by Patrick Fallon, of this city, against Myles & Co., wood dealers, for damage to a wood scow of the plaintiff on the Rideau Canal, in October, 1865, caused by a barge. One of a train of barges in tow of the defendant's tug Dandy, swinging round and striking the scow, which was loaded with wood, inflicted serious damage, which afterwards compelled the plaintiff to draw the scow out into drydock for repairs. Verdict $75 damages.
