p.2 Marine Items - the Montreal freight line of Jacques, Tracy & Co. hasn't commenced business yet (Mr. Tracy died last fall); sch. Gertrude #1 cut by ice and sank in deep water in Straits of Mackinac, Algoma and Chicora to run to Lake Superior.

-seamen asking $2.50 per day for round trip. [Milwaukee Sentinel]
