From the Lindsay Post, description of the Press excursion... The little steamer Myrtie took us by water to Midland offering a pleasant variety. On the way the steamer sailed by the Wye river and the party visited the Old Fort, just south of the railway bridge... The trip to Parry Sound and back was most delightful... The steamer Maganettawan was placed at the disposal of the association by the Hon. A. M. Dodge manager of the Georgian Bay Lumber and Transportation Co. and his courtesy was cordially appreciated.
