sch. Gazelle first to accomplish a round trip; the Seamen's Union of Chicago want $2.25 per day and Shipmasters offered $1 - might be strike.

p.3 Safely Over - an elevator at foot of Queen St., lately property of E. Berry & Co., caught fire, put out by Pierrepont's pony engine.

-Collision - sch. Centurion (Can.) damaged after collision with schooner Lucky of Oswego.
