p.2 Kingston Marine - gunboat Rescue coaled here yesterday.

-Freights - rates given at Chicago, Toledo, Milwaukee, etc.

-Marine Notes -

-Imports - 19.

-Propellers - now number about 40; the first was the Vandalia in Oswego in 1842; she was enlarged in 1846, called the Milwaukee and subsequently broken up or lost. (a few factual errors - Ed.)

p.3 Police Court - drunken sailor on a spree was discharged; a hand on str. Gazelle was charged with theft.

-For Active Service - Rescue was dismantled since last summer, but now in readiness.
