-The Gales - A List of Disasters - 6 Vessels Ashore - sch. Acorn of Port Hope wrecked below Fort at Oswego; sch. Australia ashore in Baldwin's Bay 1 1/2 miles below Oswego; sch. Iona ashore 5 miles up lake.

-sch. Wm. Rayner ashore at Morgan's Pt. 6 miles from Port Colborne, also another vessel near her.

-scow Saucy Jack ashore at South Bay Pt., str. William could not get her off.

-sch. Troy ashore in Bay of Quinte; sch. Maumee Valley ashore on Lake Superior and abandoned to underwriters.

-Collision - sch. Orion and John Weeden collide off Long Point, Weeden beached at Pultneyville.
