p.2 Marine Accident - Calvin & Breck's schooner Sweden struck by lightning off Oak Orchard.

-Imports - 4,6.

p.3 The Rescue - U.S. screw steamer Rescue arrives, then left for Welland Canal, 153 tons, similar to but superior to Canadian Rescue; was purchased by Coast Wrecking Co., from N.Y. Submarine Co., for wrecking steamer on upper lakes.

-The Propeller Bruno Sunk - Capt. Gaskin sent telegram - sunk in 15' of water at Welland Village.

-Police Court - sailor fined $2 for being drunk.
