p.2 Passengers - Champion and Abyssinian crowded with passengers.

-Imports - 11,12.

-Steam Barges - Two years ago the first steam barge was built and run on the Rideau Canal. Last season more were added, and this year has witnessed the construction of quite a number. They are destined to take the place of all other boats for canal traffic in this quarter. Today, one of these boats newly finished will make a trial, and another in the harbor is in the last stages of completion.
