p.2 Yacht Race - Humming Bird beats Nynia? at Kingston.

p.3 The Royal Mail Line - have stopped running rapids, as usual at this season, on account of the danger of running them in the dark or in twilight.

-Rideau Canal Route - because of low water, the City of Ottawa is running

to Smith Falls and return, and Bytown runs from Smith Falls to Ottawa.

-Cobourg Regatta - Ida won first prize.

-Drowned - Amherst Island sailor from sch. E.M. Stanton lost near Chicago
