-Steamboat Connections - N.T. Co. to run regular weekly steamers from Chicago to Montreal; Gildersleeve to run Rochester to Oswego and Charlotte. [Oswego Advertiser]

-Accident & Loss of Life - prop. Brooklyn ran down sailboat 10 miles from Cape Vincent.

-The Regatta - several protests.

-Equinoctial Gale - Huron, Spartan and others delayed.
