p.2 Marine Notes - Canadian sch. Flying Cloud a complete wreck at Sodus; schooners Royal Oak, Onward and Otonobee damaged; scow Industry and Sweet Home lost part of deckloads; sch. Guiding Star collided with sch. Jenny Lind in Oswego harbor and Jenny Lind sank; prop. Equinox and bark Lafrancier collided on St. Clair river and the prop. sank.

-The Gale on Saturday - sch. British Queen ashore at Garden Island; sch. Preble ashore at Brothers.

-Wrecking Operations - Kate Robinson could not be pumped out with only 1 pump; str. Wellington was delayed by weather from assisting sch. Happy Jack at Timber Island.

-Loss of the Propeller Shickluna - burned to waters edge at Port Colborne.

-The St. Clair Channel - a dispute over ownership.
