p.2 Northern Transportation Co. - it is rumored that Hugh Allen is trying to buy the Company; it would have adverse affects in Kingston.

-Neatly Caught - prop. Cuyahoga struck rocks in Sault River; a bad leak was stopped by catfish drawn into the break.

-Marine - prop. East damaged 2 buckets of her wheel in canal; the British Lion arrived.

-sch. Franklin is on ways at Portsmouth for repairs.

-sch. Montpelier ashore at Fort Gratiot, at foot of Lake Huron.

-Imports - 28.
