p.2 The Yacht Race - Unfortunate Mishap and a Good Race Spoiled.

-Carmen's Race - cabmen are having rowing matches in harbor.

-20,000 bushels of wheat damaged by sinking of barges D and Clyde at Lachine.

-Imports - 17, 18.

p.3 the Canadian Illustrated News, dated Aug. 19th, has a number of views of Goderich, among them one of tug Wales, sold in Kingston last year.

-the Canadian sch. W.W. Grant received 13 1/2¢ per bushel freight from Chicago to Kingston.

-Hauled Out - sch. Pandora repaired and launched; prop. East hauled out at Marine Railway for new wheel.
