p.2 Friel vs the Montreal and Ottawa Forwarding Co. - over collision between Kitty Friel and City of Ottawa on Rideau Canal last summer, put off till the next court.

-Yachting - Gorilla and Ina to race at Cobourg; the Ina is owned by 7 men in Toronto.

-Welland Canal - statistics on number of vessels through the canal for the years 1866 to 1871.

-Imports - 30.

p.3 The Grain Fleet - still coming, over 40 vessels at anchor and 20 at docks.

-sch. Gladstone being used as a lighter to free barge Robin on Fraser Shoal below Gallops rapids.

-Chartered For Kingston - at Chicago.

-sch. St. Andrews damaged sails on Lake Erie during gale.
