p.1 Break In the Lachine Canal - str. Picton struck gates.

p.2 V.P.T.W.C. - 23.

-The Assizes - Kelly vs. Holcomb et al - to recover the amount of an account for work done in repairing a vessel of the defendants; $950 was paid into Court; Plaintiff's claim amounts to $1200; a verdict was entered for $250 for plaintiff subject to the Ward of William Power, Peter Mitchell and Daniel Rooney, or any two of them.

- Maguy vs. Calvin - to be reported in next issue.

-The Barriefield Mills - new steam saw mill in Green Bay built by Messrs. Warren & Co.; lumber and shingles the principle manufactures; today 2 vessels were loading with lumber and railroad ties for Rochester, while one had just cleared.

-Imports - 23.
