p.3 Prop Bruno Raised - raised by aid of her own pumps, proceeded to Montreal.

-City Council - communication of John Harvey, Dept. of Public Works, in reply to Corporation request for granting by Government of iron buoys for the harbor to guard dangerous shoals, enquiring whether the buoys are required for the general good of vessels sailing the lakes and river, or merely for local benefit. If for general service, the cost should be made known to the department; Mayor had interview with Minister of Marine, one City Engineer is making a survey of shoals; the council should also petition the Gov't for a grant for removal of shoals; also some discussion of lighting for City Clock.
