-The Harbor - arrivals; prop. Lothair has new compound high and low pressure engine.

-Garden Island Shipping - It is not generally known what a large shipping trade is done by Messrs. Calvin & Breck at their establishment at Garden Island, and also in their branch establishments, in partnership with Mr. Kees, at Clayton, and the foot of Wolfe Island. They discharge about 10 vessels a day, and make their cargoes up into rafts for passage to Quebec. Their business is largely increased this year.

-Township of Howe Island - John Wiseman to get the running of the ferry scow at Mr. Thompson's place, on a trial of 3 months.

- Mr. Milton & Reeve be appointed as Committee to take charge of repairs to ferry scow at the N.R.

p.3 Capt. Rankin - outcry against his actions in Renaud disaster.
