The Canadian government is asking for tenders for the removal of the wreck of the schooner R. J. Gibbs, which was sunk May 22, 1893, with 310 tons of coal on board, and became a total loss. She was owned and sailed by Capt. Pope, of New Baltimore, who never made any attempt to remove her.
