-Steamer - Capt. Porte has sold Norfolk to Owen & Soby for $8,000; it will remain on same route.

-The Fire At Garden Island - prop. Georgian brought steam pump belonging to Calvin & Breck which had been used to get her off shoal; then fire started in capstan house on east end of island, also burned bakery, boiler shop and pump shed; helped by pumps of steamers Pierrepont and Watertown; "There is no insurance, it being against Messrs. Calvin & Breck's rule."

-Imports - 6.
