-Sailor Killed - a Kingston sailor on sch. Madeira in Welland Canal, had been married 3 months.

-City Council - petition from Wm. Power & Co. for remission of taxes on shipyard premises, on account of improvements.

p.3 Iron Ore - arrives on steam barge Nile and barge Bedford from Rideau Canal to be shipped on schooners Sweet Home and Emily for Sodus.
